Dr. Lana studied at Southern California College (now Vanguard University), Pepperdine University and Trinity College of Graduate Studies. Her specialties as a Christian Therapist include: Dialogical Approach, Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She also enjoys working with Solution Focused Emotional Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. (We construct our own reality through the use of language.) Dr. Lana is a collaborative therapist working with the client’s expectations and goals. Dr. Lana works with singles, couples and families of all ages and all walks of life.

Dr. Lana’s empathy and willingness to listen to me without judgement made it so much easier to do the work I needed to do. I was glad that she could understand my faith in God, and that I would not be here without it.

My PhD is in Relational Psychology. My Doctoral studies at Trinity College focused on how we heal in relationships.

We are hard-wired to function best when our relationships are working. There are predictable and unpredictable times in life when we need help to shape our lives as we see best. Some of the many predictable times, of course, are when we are adding or subtracting people from our lives. An engagement to be married, the birth or adoption of a child, a new career including new colleagues are challenging, yet joyful times. On the other hand, launching children thus creating an empty nest, divorce, moving, financial loss, or the tragic loss or sickness of a loved one are distressful times. When support is needed, we often turn to friends or family who may be as affected by the situation as we are. This places added strain on our relationships.

Both joys and sorrows take adjustment as we experience them. You and I will work together to form a therapeutic relationship that offers you a safe time and place to do the work of coping with what life brings you.
